Tumbang Manggu is a very small Dayak Ngaju village, located high upstream along the Katingan River in Central Kalimantan. It’s about a 4-5 hour drive by car from Palangkaraya, the nearest airport. We visited this place in May 2016, to attend a traditional Tiwah ceremony, the final rites of the funeral for a Dayak Ngaju.
