Dotted around Luang Prabang are small hill tribe villages, each home to different hill tribes including the Lao, Hmong and Khmu. Each tribe has their own distinct traditional houses and often colorful self-made clothing. The closer to Luang Prabang the more tourists visit these villages, but it still provides an excellent insight in the daily lives of some of these ethnic minorities.
