Fire War – Nagi, Bali

The young men of Nagi, a small village near Ubud, welcome Nyepi and the Balinese Caka new year with a spectacular perang api, a “fire war”. They walk and dance through piles of burning coconut husk, challenging and throwing balls of fire at each other.
